Perhaps not the greatest of surprises, but I did end up redrawing that panel a few times in order to get a half-decent result ^^;

Unfortunately, when I drew the girl in on the right, it kind of obscured what the reference was there – It’s the result of me re-drawing the character layer, but being too lazy to redraw the background. Pulling the front layer off may make the reference rather more obvious.
It’s a Red Jacket from Star Trek facing off against a Prinny from Disgaea – they’re basically the two most entirely disposable types of character I could think of, the joke being that the spiritual representations of these characters are, in fact, pretty pathetic.
