Now on Wordpress 2.8, not that I’m really sure what the difference here is.

Customs delays meant I only just got my copies of Sora Kake Girl #2 and Kurokami #1 on Blu-ray from Japan at the end of last week. I’ve been noticing a certain pattern in the Sora Kake picture dramas, and that pattern is “tits!”. I do wonder how they’ll cram a bathing scene into “Honoka’s Exciting Animal Guide” or whatever it is that they have named the third picture drama. That hits at the end of next week, though I have to admit a Friday is kind of an odd day for Bandai DVD releases to hit. I wonder what’s up with that.

Kurokami seems alright. I have to admit, whilst I was intending to watch it raw, but with the dub being there on the disk I ended up watching it that way. It was palatable. It probably helps that I’ve neither read nor really know anything about the original comic (is it a manga, or a manhwa?), so I’m not going to get bitchy about the protagonist being neutered.

Otherwise, I’ve just been spending the rest of the weekend going through some of my backlogged DVDs. I watched through the first half of SPACE TARZAN, sorry, Heroic Age, which I don’t really have anything to say about – it all just feels kind of insubstantial for some reason I can’t quite put my finger on. Also ended up watching through all of Rocket Girls yesterday. For some reason, how completely non-seriously it takes itself most of the time was something which I somehow managed to miss entirely. If I’d been aware of that previously, I’d probably have got around to watching it sooner. The general stupidity surrounding the whole thing was actually kind of charming.

Oh, well, guess I’ll go find something else to watch now…
