Unfunny Internet Meme Comics #6-40

I’m throwing up Mondays comic early. Truth be told, it’s probably about three or four weeks early for me to be making this joke whilst expecting more than maybe two or three people getting it (It’s probably another one which Author won’t get, anyway ^^;). Those who are well aware of what I’m getting at probably don’t need any additional explanation, and will probably agree that it’s not very funny anyway.

New OP and ED on Saki this week. Cute. I kind of hadn’t expected a new ED at any point, given they’ve already been cycling between the two of them.

Yes, it is. I got half-way through that panel and started wishing I’d gone for her more casual dress ^^;

Hahahaha, I can’t stop laughing. Particularly the Haruhi-Maria thing. Why is your art improving so much. I hate you.

I take it this requires knowledge of the Umineko sound novels? I’m sure there are more than two or three people watching both Umineko and Haruhi…

Pretty much, which is why I say it’s about three or four weeks early for me to be making this joke. Problem is, I had is stuck in my head, and by the time Umineko reaches the point where the joke will become obvious, people will have stopped moaning about Endless Eight. Basically, either most people wouldn’t get it, or I’d leave it too late and it wouldn’t really be amusing to anyone.

So I figured I’d just post it now – it’s obtuse enough that it’s not really going to spoil Umineko for anyone.

Of course, I’m sure there’s a lot of people who have played the English translations of the Umineko sound novels, I just figure that very few of them will read this blog ^^;

I take it, the name “sound novel” does not imply that the novel is sound. So, is it a novel that you play on your iPod by ear and with the click wheel?

Not really – it’s just another term that gets used for what people generally refer to as visual novels. I don’t really get the differentiation in the terms.
