In light of the news that Hidaka Ai’s mother may or may not have been pregant with Ai at 15, and the more recent news that Ryo is, infact, a trap, some are wondering if simply being a former hikikomori is really sensational enough a character trait for Eri to stand out amongst her peers. I think she’ll be fine, given that hikikomoris are often associated with traits that are, perhaps, considered more deviant aspects of our hobby.

By the way, Eri doesn’t actually wear glasses, it just seemed like a character trait common to those who draw yaoi material in anime/manga. Ryo does, in fact, wear glasses when he’s not dressed as a girl. It’s the Clark Kent/Superman effect, I guess, in that people somehow manage not to connect the two until the point when his story needs a dramatic twist.
