Unfunny Internet Meme Comics #6-52

I’d imagine that you know to what I am referring to. I have to admit, though, I don’t think WAH is doing his argument any favours at this point. I mean, I agree with his sentiment, but I’m finding the blanket statements writing quality (though I admit that Carl Horn probably would cry if he read this blog) and piracy (some of us do pay our way) a little less than endearing. Not that I don’t understand where he’s coming from with the later point – given that reaching a couple of thousand sales is considered good for a DVD release in the US when more than 24000 people will turn out for a convention does kind of raise questions – but he is starting to sound a little like the Yu-Gi-Oh In America Guy. Except, you know, with rather less “America” and rather more “Japan”. I worry for his mental state when it finds himself back in the ‘States…

That said, as mentioned previously, this whole argument infringes on my typical blogging processes not one iota, and it’s not like anyone actually reads this blog anyway, so it’s not exactly something I’m going to take personally (and on the off-chance that WAH is actually reading this, please don’t take any of this as an attack on your good self – I do read and enjoy your fine blog and comic).

I am actually kind of surprised that we’ve not seen anyone make some kind of response comic by carving up old Mistakes of Youth comics and not crediting WAH with it. I’m disappointed in the lack of quality trolling here, Interwebs.

So, other news… Apparently Endless Eight has finished. That’s a shame, it was good for comicing material. Suppose I could still milk it a little more despite it’s conclusion. Apparently that Fate/Stay Night movie is going to be Unlimited Blade Works (YAY!), though it’s also going to be Studio DEEN (not-so-YAY?)

It’s impossible not to credit WAH if you do a clip-art strip, because you need to explain the story and backlink.

And stop with the false modesty. Remember how Kabitzin IIRC said in interview that Beta-waffle was the only blog he read?

I kind of figure the idea would be to assume your audience would have some concept of what it was you were referring to without having to backlink or explain anything. I mean, back in the day I almost made of point of being obscure and not explaining anything in the slightest…

Was that not Hung? I forget, but I wouldn’t have thought it’d have been Kabitzin since it was his blog that was posting those interview things.

And it’s really not false modesty – I do see my visitor stats, and it runs relatively pathetically (I’ll maybe break 200 uniques in a day if I post something, but most of those visitors are people googling Fate/Stay Night or Battle Moon Wars related material). It doesn’t actually bother me – it’s probably weird for someone who has a blog, but actually getting attention kind of bothers me ^^;

If it makes you feel any better (or worse? Since you don’t like attention), your blog is one of the only two English blog I have on my Google Feed Reader.

You should continue to be obscure and not explain things. The less people get a joke, the funnier it is.

Wow you drew him so much in character! I mean it looks JUST like his comics!
If I drew this he’d look like some girly bishounen xD

Somehow I was under the impression the Fate/stay night movie was going to be live action… still haven’t seen past episode 4 of the anime myself.
