Saki Episode 21

I totally called it -

Well, that’s for the girls, anyway – there is the matter of Kyotaro, the Kiyosumi MahJong Clubs sole male member, finally being able to play. Who’s he going to play against? I half-suspect we’ll never find out – either all his games will be played off-screen, or he’ll be put out of the contest immediately as a gag (still off-screen).

That’s me from two weeks ago.

Well, at least that’s out of the road, I guess. The rest of this weeks episode smelt curiously like padding for the most part.

In other events, Yuuki’s winning streak totally won’t last, though it would be funny if she ended up being the only Kiyosumi member to qualify. More that likely, what’s going to happen is that she’s going to be offered up as a sacrificial lamb to the alter of that new character who’s supposedly freaky-good.

Saki, on the other hand, I suspect will be losing somewhat badly next episode – she’s just not into it at this point, probably as she’s more concerned with her team mates going through than she is about going through herself. I suspect she’s going to be well down at the halfway break of her game, and it’ll be up to Nodoka to break her out of her funk in that “it’s not fun for me if you aren’t trying” fashion.

Mystery Girl has to be there to feed on Yuki *cough* She’s tailored made for her……she has East round nullifying powers, and has her streak abilities in the South round. Probably Saki will take her out.
