Is this just me, once again, paying lip-service to the fact that I’m supposed to be throwing a comic up today? Possibly – I doubt many of my present readers will remember back to those days when I used to end each “season” of these comicking runs with an attempted hostile takeover.

I’ve been skimping on my writing duties recently, both in these comic posts and otherwise on the blog. I would say this is just that I didn’t have anything to write about, but I still have the that spectre of Vampire Hunter D looming over me, and I really should get around to writing something about the series at some point.

I did also receive my copy of iM@S Dearly Stars over the weekend, but I’ve yet to find time to play it. I will confirm reports that it won’t run on a non-Japanese DSi. There’s not so much as a “This game isn’t compatible” message displayed – the console simply won’t acknowledge it’s existence. It will run on any region of the prior iterations of the DS hardware, though, so suckers like me who still has a DSLite and a DSPhat at least have those options to fall back on.

And, yes, after saying I wasn’t going to, I did jump straight into Mana Khemia 2. I don’t really know what to make of it – honestly, my first impression (where “first” is defined as having been playing it for ten hours) is that they’ve “fixed” a lot of things which weren’t broken, and as a result have really overcomplicated matters where it wasn’t necessary. Oh, well.
