Truthfully, I’ve just had a week off work as well, and whilst it wasn’t the focus of why I’d taken time off, I had been intending to spend a lot of time doing the kind of thing that’d be conductive to coming up with new comic content – by which I mean getting through a lot of the anime I’ve got stockpiled to watch. Whilst I did watch some stuff (some Gundam 00, started on Sola, caught up on a couple of things), it didn’t quite work out to the degree I’d expected. Whilst I didn’t end up wasting most of my time playing iM@S (reputedly the reason that Berserk author Kentaro Miura has stalled on occasion in recent years), I did spend an awful lot of time playing video games – western video games at that. Not the kind of thing productive for the content generation for an anime-themed comic.

Honestly, upon completing Mana Khemia 2, I was just pulling out all the stuff which I thought I could plow through in about a day, so I went through Brutal Legend (fun game – the RTS stuff is nowhere near as bad as many suggest), Uncharted, Uncharted 2 (as per normal, I only ever get around to playing things when I get the sequel) and Halo 3 (see the previous statement). I guess it’s productive as far as culling my game backlog a little, if nothing else. Now I’m back to going through all those Gust games I’ve bought and not played – I’m onto the Atelier Iris games at the moment, and damn AI2 has terrible writing. Thankfully Bayonetta is out in Japan this week, and owning a 360 of that region means I’ll be able to play the good version of the game this year rather than next.

(Sidenote – apparently I’m only eight comments off the 2000 comment mark. Damn, that’s taken a long time…)
