Censorship on anime shows seems to be getting increasingly rediculous recently. Well, I say censorship, but in a lot of cases I’m sure it’s really a deliberate move to mask wha’ts on display in order to promote the DVD releases. In any case, whilst I can understand masking some panty shots and nudity due to some stations self-imposed broadcast restrictions, it’s getting silly when they start covering up things like swimsuit shot’s and the ilk…

The next step, I’m sure, is that they’ll start covering up things like Zettai Ryouiki. Can’t be letting any fetishist tropes like that be out there on display for free when only the mere suggestion of such content is required in order to promote the purchase of the supplementary material.

For those who didn’t visit on Saturday (and, really, I didn’t give much reason for anyone to do so), you’d have missed the fabulous/puke inducing Halloween theme I’d thrown up for the day – the wonderous, Umineko-themed Beato-Waffle. In typical me-fashion, I’d spent way too long on the thing, and pretty much every single banner was actually better than those on my usual cycle. I need to re-introduce some into my main rotation at some point, I think, though I should really get around to adding a few new banners anyway. I don’t tihnk I’ve added more than a couple since I switched to Pixel-Waffle this time last year ^^;
