Negima Second Period (PS2)

This, as you may have guessed from the title, is the second of Konamis PS2 Negima games. I’m not going to spend a whole lot of time talking about it – its essentially the same game as their first effort with a few upgrades.

The games story isn’t directly related to any of the mangas storylines – it does borrow some of the Konoka/Setsuna development from the Kyoto arc (not to mention the female villian making a very brief appearance), and Negi has started his training with Kuu Fei, but the crux of the story centers around the schools forthcoming Sports Festival and another challenge from the dodgeball lot from early on in the manga. So, rather than preparing your students for the forthcoming tests like in the first title, you are trying to prepare your students to kick arse on the track.

Whilst this is going on, a throw back to the Nodoka plot in the first game which I hadn’t figured was interesting enough to talk about, an evil version of Negi is troubling the dreams of the students on 3-A with his army of dream-residing goth-lolis!

Oh well, you’ll have to let me know how the Third one goes for you when your done with it.

So Kingdom Hearts 2 huh? It’s supposed to be good.
