Konami Asuna and Konoka

I may as well do both these at once (I don’t really want to spam the AB antenna or anything like that). Anyway, these two figures are the first in Konamis new range of larger scale Negima figures, and they’ve unsurprisingly went for the first two students we are introduced to, Asuna and Konoka (Evangeline and the inexplicably popular Makie are out next month). I’m going to start with Asuna.
There is no specific scale to this figures, coincidently – these two are about the same size (if I was pressed to put a number to it I’d say they are around 1/7), but the pictures I’ve seen of next months Evangeline seem rather out of whack.

I really had high expectations for the Asuna figure, but I guess I expected too much from Konami to pull something off as detailed as MF’s bikini Naru. Asuna’s tones and hues are really off and somewhat plain. It’s as if the figure was literally made reference from the series’ TV-version.
Yeah, I really wish there was just enough detailing in it.

Hmmm, I thought the quality (and detailing) was pretty good for a 3600y figure – a lot better than, say, Alter Casual Saber, and the colours about match the game designs (which I presume is what Konami are working off). The Konoka figure does completely blow the Asuna one away, though.
