WTF DOES GENUFLECT MEAN ANYWAY?!

Genuflect (verb) – To bend the knee in reverence.
I realise I’m probably well behind on things here, but I got around to taking a look at OMGWTFOTL last night, and it made me giggle like a sleep-deprived person playing visual novels at stupid-late hours when they should be sleeping instead. I think most of this is probably due simply to the word Genuflect – to be honest, I kind of thought that they’d made the word up. It’s not as if it’s a word which comes up in normal, everyday speech, and frankly it was such a badass and Gar sounding word I figured it simply couldn’t be real.
Consulting a dictionary put paid to that illusion. Still, my initial disappointment was quickly gotten over, when I realised that this was an actual, real word I could randomly drop into conversations and confuse people whilst still being valid, actual English! So I’ve spent all day trying to randomly drop the word Genuflect into conversations, much to the bemusement of those around me.
Who says you don’t learn anything from this hobby?
Anyway, OMGWTFOTL is probably worth a look, given that it’ll only cost you around half an hour of your life to explore the whole thing. It is pretty much entirely inexplicable, but that’s all part of the charm. Certainly, I think it highlights a definite need for more GARtastic visual novels in English.

Heh. I loved this word. I guess I’m very familiar with it since I was raised Catholic and you’d see this (the action) all the time in the church.

OMGWTFOTL is awesome. Not only did it bring attention to the word genuflect it also has copulating devil summoning bears. I love random shit like that.

Ha ha. Like Ten, *unfortunately* being a Catholic makes it a pretty common word for me.
