The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi DVD 7

Finally, it’s the Yuki cover. Given that the only episode on this DVD is Someday in the Rain, I guess it’s somewhat apt. Saying that, watching this makes me realise I’ve not seen the broadcast version of the episode, so I can’t do my normal comparison shots of the absolutely pointless things they’ve changed.

This, of course, leaves me at somewhat of a loss as to what the actually talk about – the only other thing I consider to be of note about this DVD is that full length dance video thing which everyone in the known universe saw two weeks ago. There isn’t even a hidden image directory on this DVD!

Still, since I’ve been neglecting blogging duties due to Idolmaster addiction, not to mention the fact that I’ve commented on every other volume of the DVD release, I suppose I should really start finding some barrel bottoms to scrape.

I suppose, being the last volume, I could take stock of my sticker sheet haul across the series. Whilst I didn’t get SP stickers with every volume, I think I’ve probably done a lot better than most have (certainly, I seem to compared to a lot of people who read the same forums I do).

DVD 0: I don’t think there were any stickers with this one, period.
DVD 1: Sticker sheet 3, no SP
DVD 2: Sticker sheet 6, SP 3
DVD 3: Sticker sheet 14, SP 4
DVD 4: Sticker sheet 19, no SP
DVD 5: Sticker sheet 24, SP 6
DVD 6: Sticker sheet 27, SP 6 (Yes, again)
DVD 7: Sticker sheet 34, SP 7

So, two volumes short of getting SP sheets with all of them.

They are advertising more figures this time around. The Haruhi one I’ve mentioned as being with the fourth manga volume before. The Mikuru figure I think was a mail-in with the February volume of Shonen Ace, which at this point is no doubt near impossible to find now (the March issue, coincidently, seems to be shipping with a Tohsaka Rin bust). The Yuki figure was the same for some magazine call The Sneaker, that I haven’t previously heard of. Ho-hum.

They’re really pushing Kimidori Emiri as a more major character than she is, aren’t they? I wouldn’t be surprised if the theories about her are true.

Hmmm, its quite possible that they were just short of cute girls to put on the DVD covers ^^;

I’d be astonished if someone had – it’d take a awful lot of convincing people to give away their stickers.

What I’d like to know is if there is any unlucky soul who managed to get SP stickers in every volume, only to get the same set each time ^_____^

the full-length dance has lost its newness shine, but I’m still glad that they made it. I’m supposed to be practicing it, but we all know I’m never gonna dance in front of anyone, haha. Ugh, 8 dvds for a 14-episode series? Though I realize that’s typical, I’m so glad I live in R1.
