Tokyopop to release Full Metal Panic novels

In the SutePri vol 2 review he posted yesterday (which reminds me I have vol 1 still unread), Hung said he thought 2007 was going to be the year of the Light Novel. It certainly seems most of the titles one would expect to find on a on big fanboyish wishlist are being snapped up a quite a rate.

So, at the New York ComicCon, Tokyopop announced they have licensed the Full Metal Panic novels, which tends to feature prominently in lists of those novels most wanted in English. Let’s just hope that it turns out to be part of Tokyopops well handled novel line, rather than the other one.

Now, if someone just needs to license Haruhi, Zero no Tsukima and MariMite and that’ll most of the fan favorites taken account of.

Whoa, where’d you hear this news? I’ve been checking all the anime news sites I know periodically but I didn’t see this.

I read it on the forums over at AoD, but I think its mentioned in ANNs ComicCon coverage feature (but not, oddly, as an actual news story….)
