In celebration of some of the odd decisions which have been going on in R1 land recently. Well, OK, its pretty much entirely in honour of Geneons bizarre choice of Higurashi cover art and Bandai Visuals awesome pricing structure, with a sideswipe at ADVs renaming of “Makasete Iruka!” (Seriously, “Grrl Power!”? What kind of retarded name was that, anyway?).

I suppose it’s kind of unfair to bash Geneon for the Higurashi release given that all they have used were official materials – the cover art was using in Japan, and When They Cry has always been used by 07th Expansion from what I gather. Still, it’s the combination of the two, and the fact that it’s being put out that way onto a US market which probably isn’t quite sure what to expect, which really bemuses me. As I’ve said previously, it just makes it look like porn to me ^^;

Errr, this wasn’t actually the comic I was going to post today, but I changed my mind this morning just before posting. That’s why it’s taken so long for me to get around to posting this today, since I’ve had to draw it rather than using something I’d already done.

Shame there still isn’t an actual joke ^^;

Oh well, since I drew this stuff at a higher resolution than I normally do, I figured it’d be a shame for it all to remain stamp sized (not that any of it is, you know, drawn particularly well or anything), so I threw together a PSP background for those who have a suitably recent firmware (i.e. those not sticking with 1.50, for whatever reason they’d want to do that).

Don’t have a PSP? Here’s a 1280×800 desktop – why that resolution? Because that’s what I use, and it’s not as if I expect anyone in the universe to actually use this. I’m just being odd.
